Book Review: Ancient Revenge by J F Lourens

Book Title:  Ancient Revenge
Author:  J F Lourens
Genre:  Theological/Psychological/Thriller

We've got Templars, Ancient Celtic Sects, a Rastafarian little brother to a rich well-off business minded older sister, a CIA Agent in a secret office at the CIA, and of course bad guys galore, who have passed down information for generations and are now complete extreme fanatics.  Because the Roman Catholic Church has committed so many "atrocities" there will be - An Ancient Revenge -.

GREAT storyline/plot!  Believable and likeable characters that are well rounded and have enough depth to them that you feel the emotional attachments they make or sever.  Lots of interesting twists and turns and because there are so many different "organizations", for lack of a better word, that encompasses the likes of Templars to Masonic Brotherhoods to the secret branches of the CIA you're in for a good read.

The only problem I had, which is petty, is the use of phonetic English (The author is Australian and living in Canada) which leaves grammatical and punctuation issues.  There were a few inconsistencies, but not enough to ruin any part of the story.  I think the author could use a good proofreader or Copy Editor though.
