Book Title: Cursed By Darkness by Anna Sanders

Book Title:  Cursed By Darkness
Author: Anna Sanders
Genre:  Paranormal/Mystery

The beginning of this book had me intrigued.  It was quick moving and the names of characters weren't just interesting, but the "kinds" of characters they were took a spin from your everyday, run of the mill "succubus demon" and "werewolf/body changeling".  Even the "Exalted Ones" looking over them carried different names and titles.  It was fun!

That's about the end of the positivity from me.  Senseless violence, nudity that was very detailed came at me fast paced, however it really had nothing to do with moving the story line along, therefore leaving it lacking in substance.

The premise of the plot is a daevor (winged demon vs. un-winged demon) is "Revenge Killing" the gang members who killed her older sister who was her best friend.  In the paranormal community, the family is well respected yet no one can figure out how these people were able to murder someone with psychic abilities to stop humans.  Since justice wasn't going to take place, little sister took care of it.  The she's made an outcast and to live amongst humans.  In come....Zombies.

I don't care for the whole "zombie" genre, so now I'm asking myself how the heck this book just went from a daevor with attitude to flesh eating zombies.  Ugh.  Really?

Enter the wolf.  So "innocent" and "Polite" it's satorical!  Seems the zombies have invaded his forest and the Alpha (a *female* with a *female lover*, therefore, not your run-of-the-mill werewolf pack to begin with...  I'm very much for equal rights, but isn't the Alpha usually a male with a female counterpart?  Nice change up, again!) has gotten word that the daevor living in the human world can help with their zombie infestation problem.

From there it's so predictable after reading the beginning and it's BDSM Side Effects.

The end...  What end, I ask?  NOTHING WAS RESOLVED!  The bad things weren't fixed, there wasn't even a notation telling the reader to wait for the next book, since literally, hell has broken loose.

What we get is a back story of the daevor, Winx, and the gruesome way her sister was killed.  THEN  *nothing* except more Promos for different books.  Really?
